Welcome to the Chair of Industrial Logistics!

The Chair of Industrial Logistics was established in 2002 within the Department of Economics and Management Sciences. The field of industrial logistics is situated within the broader context of the raw materials cycle, which encompasses the entirety of all degree programmes at Montanuniversität Leoben. As an interdisciplinary field, industrial logistics combines the individual disciplines in order to ensure effective and efficient material and information flows. In practice, industrial logistics refers to the planning, organisation, control and optimisation of logistics processes within manufacturing companies. It encompasses all activities associated with the efficient and effective transport, storage, handling and distribution of goods in industrial environments.
